Cheese!!!!

We received a MASSIVE amount of cheese this week. The case is bursting with all sorts of creamy, oozy, sharp, stinky, laid-back and blue cheeses. Whatever your taste buds are craving, we have you covered!

Mast Brothers Chocolate

Rick Mast founded New York’s only handmade chocolate factory with his brother Michael. The two brothers wanted to know, and started to study how to make dark chocolate bars in their Brooklyn apartment.  The pair gave up their jobs – one was a cook and the other a clerk – and founded a handmade chocolate factory in a former spice warehouse in the heart of Williamsburg. We got our first shipment of chocolate bars and they are amazing! Flavors like Vanilla and smoke, Sea Salt and Almonds, Pecan and Maple Syrup, and Papua New Guinea (which has a great smokey, bacon flavor).

Olympic Provisions

We have expanded our selection of charcuterie again with the addition of 2 great Sauccisons from Olympic Provisions. Olympic Provisions is home to Oregon’s first USDA-approved salumeria, established in 2009. Owner Elias Cairo carefully crafts “American Charcuterie” using the highest quality local ingredients. Cairo has crafted twelve different salami based on the regional flavors you would find in France, Spain, Italy and Greece.  Each salami type and flavor profile is true to the region or country’s style from which it originates. We also carry salami from Creminelli Fine Meats, Olli Salumeria, Allesina Fine Cured Meats, and Fabrique Delces.
